Job Description
- Perform a wide variety of production assembly, development and repair work on complex harness/cable assembly and subassembly. This involves mechanical as well as electrical wiring operations; including fitting and alignment of parts to close tolerances using appropriate hand tools, calipers, microscopes, torque wrenches screwdrivers, scales, etc.
- Point to point continuity/wire checking including electrical troubleshooting, inspect and repair same or similar equipment including some mechanical and electrical troubleshooting helpful.
- Expedite material/assemblies on shop floor.
- Maintain control of material kits received on shop floor and staged for production.
- Auditing of kits, filing material shortages and support other operators in day-to-day activities.
- Tracking work in progress through production area, etc.
- Maintain facilities, material and work area orderly, while adhering to general good housekeeping practices and comply with all ethics, health, safety compliance and quality requirements.
- Create and work in a team environment while implementing Continuous Process Improvement.
Minimum Education Required: High School Graduate
Preferred Education: High School Graduate
Required Skills:
- RF cable specific assembly/solder skills
- Must have strong soldering skills, the knowledge of mixing and applying bonding, captivation and encapsulation material.
- Must have basic knowledge of point to point continuity/wire checking including electrical troubleshooting, inspect and repair same or similar equipment including some mechanical and electrical troubleshooting helpful.
- Must be able to work with formal (drawings, schematics, diagrams, parts lists) and informal (engineering sketches, notes, diagrams) documentation.
- Must have the ability to take and follow work direction.
- Must be able to work any shift, overtime and support off-site demands when required.
- Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance.
Additional Skills:
Pay Rate: Max $27/hr Hourly
