Job Description

Highly motivated and detail oriented individuals are being sought for the Dice, Sort, Visual area in the D1 semiconductor wafer fab. Candidates’ role will be vital in maintaining the highest quality standards in the cutting edge of the semiconductor industry.

2 categories of responsibilities:
1) Visual Inspection of GaAs and InP production line products, covering all Commercial and Flight MMIC programs. Perform detailed microscope inspections of III-V semiconductor wafers and chips (sub-micron technologies), then accurately document results by taking photos and entering into database. Will account for 80% of responsibilities.
2) Dicing and sorting chips to Commercial or Flight inspection criteria and transferring them into separate waffle trays with the use of vacuum pick-up tool or tweezers. Will account for 20% of responsibilities. -
Inspection using optical microscopes (50-1000x magnification) for 9.5 hours per day.
Minimum Education Required: High School Graduate
Preferred Education: High School Graduate
Required Skills:

Must be able to work in a seated position for long periods of time.

Must have excellent communication skills, manual dexterity and patience.

Must have expertise with 50x-1000x Optical microscopes

Must have two (2) years related experience in microelectronics inspection (especially wafer fab)
Additional Skills:
-
Computer controlled inspection programming experience is desired, but not required.

Computer skills are a plus.

Experience using Workstream manufacturing execution system is preferred, but not required.
Pay Rate: $15 - $18 DOE Hourly
